What makes you people here that are bashing DMB so cool? I think it's the fact that you have ABSOLUTELY nothing better to do then sit around and diss on something you have NO CLUE about. You are a bunch of jackasses that can't respect music you aren't interested in simply because so many others are. Make real arguments and maybe people will respect you. Until that time SHUT THE HELL UP, grow up, and for christ's sake, GET A LIFE!!!!

Not just yet...to set the record straight, I haven't lived in a dorm room in 5 years,I'm not part of greek life, I didn't say anything about who could kick who's ass in a fight against some band members, and the reason I'm a little bitter about what I recently read on this board is I was just skimming through the internet to find a new DMB song online (excited b/c it's kinda new and haven't heard the new version yet) and I come across yet another group of people that can't just respect others taste in music and leave it at that. I'm so tired of people and their empty arguments against a band who's music they aren't interested in. I just felt the need to stick up for a band I've loved and followed for years and years. It gets old hearing the same type of people with the same reasons to bash DMB over and over again. I'm not asking everyone to love DMB or even like em, hell, I don't care if you hate the music. But, there is no need to insult the band and their fans. That's just ridculous and old news.

Actually, I don't understand why I feel the need to diss on Dave Matthews either. I'm not an especially critical person, yet the DMB and everything that surrounds them signify something wrong with American culture - it's probably very revealing about myself and many ILMers.

You know what I don't like about DMB fans? (At least the ones around here - Except for Allison, who's great.) It just occurred to me... No sense of humor. You can't dish it out OR take it. People around here hate Radiohead, The Smiths, The Rolling Stones, The Doors - there's someone to hate just about everything - except the sacred Joy Division. But only the DMB fans get all bent about it. Either join the party or go home and fuck yourself...! ;-)
