the High on Fire show kicked so much ass last night. girls were taking off their shoes, dudes were taking off their shirts (who's to say if the show would have been better if it were the other way around?). beer was being sprayed all over the audience.

i have the new-ish album "Surrounded By Thieves" and i recognized about 3 or four songs. i'm not sure if the other tracks were from the first album or if i just didn't recognize them.

they also played a few thrash numbers which threw the place into a frenzy.

and 400 blows opened for them and i always get a kick out of them. Todi Moshi was in between the two and was ok

Yeah, I saw High On Fire a couple years ago after the first record and it was unbelievable. I seriously felt like I was in 1974. It was so good I had to buy a T-Shirt, and I never do that.

one year passes...

High on Fire were absolutely amazing when I saw them a year or so ago. One of the few contemporary metal bands I really listen to.
