There were two Butterfly Child EPs too: Eucalyptus and Tooth Fairy. There was a third act signed to H.Ark!, who released something in late '91, but I can't remember who they were.
BC went on to release three (I think) LPs on Dedicated/Rough Trade.
PS supported Pale Saints on tour in 1992 (their set: 20 minutes of unbroken atonal noise), put out a 7" single (more noise) on Rough Trade's Singles Club imprint and then vanished. Rumours abounded at the time that Gary McK had handed 40-odd minutes of similarly difficult unstructured noise to Rough Trade as his debut album and they didn't want anything to do with it. He came back a few weeks later with precisely the same material but with much more prominent tape hiss. I've no idea whether any of this is true. Perhaps he'll Google this thread.

I was and remain a fairly dedicated (har) Butterfly Child fan, with all the albums and a slew of the EPs. Was even lucky enough to hear from him on e-mail once, apparently was still working away on album number four...

Well, yes, I suppose they are!
If anyone has the Peel Sessions that Papa Sprain and Butterfly Child did on tape ...
I wonder who the mystery third H.ark! act were?

I remember chatting to Simon after the Liverpool show in '92 - he seemed surprised I'd enjoyed PS's set, I think Martin was even less impressed by them. This was around the time the Boos had an extra guitarist and were terrifyingly loud; Pale Saints were all over the place but occasionally gorgeous.
