I think they're great. Lounge-core, yes lounge-core, at it's finest. Does anyone have any good recommendations that sound similar to Cousteau ?

Jack, who are also better than Cousteau

I can definitely second the Jack recommendation.

Jim, what would you recommend by Savoy Grand?

the debut Savoy Grand single "millions of people" and the "dirty pillows" ep are both gorgeous. their album (title escapes me) is lovely in parts but they get the tiniest bit trying after a while

The Walkabouts own everybody here. However I would say this.

simon warner is definitely worse than cousteau.

I really like Cousteau. I didn't think anyone else even knew who they were.

i don't dislike them but i find their albums to be terribly patchy. 'last good day of the year' is fantastic, as is 'salome'.

one year passes...
For any fans of Cousteau, they have just released their 3rd album "Nova Scotia". The first record is still the best though.

ten years pass...

Well this is unexpected: Davey Ray Moor and Liam McKahey reunite as CousteauX, new EP just released.

Still love the first album to death.
