inspired by the CFNY thread.
here's some fodder for discussion:

cbc radio two.. especially Brave New Waves
university stations (i get U of T and McMaster)
Q107 classic rock mayhem yah!
Y95 classic rock in hamilton
jazz fm 91.1 is a very good jazz station

also: project bounce on U of T radio post-midnight.

what else you got for my car presets?

I hate project bounce with a passion. The fact UofT had to clear out its night time slots was painful and meant alot of great overnight shows got cut WAY back. I want my all night indie rock shows back.
I don't listen to radio in Ontario anymore. If forced I'll usually check out CIUT or if its Sunday night possibly CFNY for the same 25 80s songs. At home I've found myself turning on some of those Galaxy channels done by CBC on cable rather then radio since they have an Ambient channel.

Flow 93.5!

Did FLOW turn into JACK or was that KISS?
I'd suggest CHRY but they barely reach Markham let alone Hamilton.

CBC and CHRW 94.7 FM, the campus station at UWO

CJAM 91.5fm in Windsor and CBC2

I usually only listen to CBC Radio 1 when I'm listening to radio these days. God knows the ad campaign for JACK-FM ain't making me want to switch any time soon.

I pretty much gave up on regular radio when I realized (a) most stations were pretty much unlistenable, and (b) I could find almost anything on Internet radio stations. Although that won't help you in the car, unless you are a real high-tech-rewire-my-car-audio type. Some CIUT shows are OK, and CBC post-midnight is indeed fab.

I second the notion for the CBC/Galaxy satellite channels - that 'ambient' channel (I think it's 864 on my old StarChoice) was amazing.

Q107 was usually my first choice in the car - probably made me drive more recklessly, though...
