Lick My Decals Off, Baby on CD in pristine condition for only $11. Nah, I already have a copy.

You could have bought and resold it on eBay for probably 5 times that amount.

I've passed over albums I've sorta wanted and then regretted it later; but anything that I find that I've wanted for a long time I don't hesitate to snap up.

I once had David Holmes Essential Mix 98 in my hands for 6 pounds, and put it back. Now I really wish I had bought it. Downloaded it and LOVED it. Can't seem to find it online as easily as I would like to.

orig. PIL Metal Box in canister for about $50, would have been a pretty good deal.

Matt Helgeson (Matt Helgeson), Wednesday, 27 August 2003 17:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, I know... I figured it must not be so rare these days or something. I use eBay as little as possible.

Others I never grabbed for some inexplicable reason:
Chrome "Alien Soundtracks/Half Machine Lip Moves" and "Ghost Machine." Can't find 'em anywhere now.

I kept an eye out for James Brown 'Hell' for years, saw it for $6 and didn't buy it. Finally got it last week though, it's pretty great.

Same thing with Kurt Rosenwinkel's solo albums...I've only actually seen them in a store once and I didn't do it for some reason (it's just one of those things where I could order it online anytime I want, but that would feel like cheating somehow).

But you've got it on CD, remember?

colin s barrow (colin s barrow), Thursday, 28 August 2003 06:20 (twenty-two years ago)

true! but not the b-sides :(

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Thursday, 28 August 2003 06:22 (twenty-two years ago)

aha. And you were right, it is a very good track. It took a while to steal up on me that one. As did 'Horizontal Action'.

colin s barrow (colin s barrow), Thursday, 28 August 2003 06:22 (twenty-two years ago)

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Thursday, 28 August 2003 06:23 (twenty-two years ago)

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Thursday, 28 August 2003 06:23 (twenty-two years ago)

No, Jim, I just own it on that Sound of the Aust Underground CD like you. So de-green yourself, please.

colin s barrow (colin s barrow), Thursday, 28 August 2003 06:35 (twenty-two years ago)

willem (willem), Thursday, 28 August 2003 06:40 (twenty-two years ago)

I really really regret not buying my friend's Liaison Dangereuses, Nurse With Wound and Nocturnal Emissions records when he told me he was getting rid of them, way back in about 1986.
