It is like Can U Feel It mixed with Blow Your House Down by Guy Called Gerald with Jamie Principle style vocals. Nice.

I need to get off my ass and write an acid house revivalism piece.

Between this, Don't Make Me Jack by Paris Gray and This Is Acid by Maurize my acid scratch is getting itched. I am not buying the 10 big hits and forget the rest; the more I dig, the more goodies I come across.

Dream Girl by Pierre's Phantasy Club is hot as well.

"Rock This Party Right" by Cool House is my all time favourite.

Are there any labels that are releasing this sort of thing currently?

(not reissues, but new tracks in the old chicago style?)

I don't know, Mike, although friend and I are doing old-style Chicago in our studio just as an indulgence. Perhaps its heyday is over anyway. Unless, unless... it is somehow revivified or disinterred by the electroclash types. Which seems very on the cards, now I think about it. Of course, it would not be exactly the same.

One of the things I most miss about those old records (apart from the 808, the slow bpms, the lo-fi production, and the unabashed party vibe) is the combo of tb303 and vocal.

Luke Vibert just released an acid record, called "I love acid". I haven't heard it...

Bunker release a lot of nu-trax stuff. it's total lo-fi fetishism, everything sounds bruised and muddied, but authentic as fuck i s'pose. check Sendex.

303 and vocal - have you heard that "Lack of love" tune? Think it was by Charles B or something. Actually sounds like it could've been made last year, but is still acid and from the acid era. Is great.

Is it just me or wasn't there an acid house revival in 2001 as well? Or was it just the parties I was going to...
