I'm quite convinced in the early 90s (late 80s) some guy released a bizarre cover album of all canadian rock classics (rush, april wine ...) done in operatic or falsetto style ..

But I have no idea what it was called (or where to find it ...)

do you?

I think it was called...lame.
thank you, good night.

Operatic versions of Geddy Lee? Such an idea defies any previous definition of redundancy. Like those 'tributes to Van Halen' featuring Joe Satriani and Marty Friedman. Anyway if the guy didn't tackle Burton Cummings he's a chickenshit who should go home, if he did he is just incredibly foolish. (Needless to say I'd still like to hear this)

Being Canadian I can say without offending: only a Canadian would post this thread. Um, "surry" to be scathing but ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

YOU ARE NOT CANADIAN NED RAGGETT

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 17 June 2004 18:48 (twenty-one years ago)

Vs. Colombian Ned Raggett.

I'm like, sooo Canadian to feel bad about insulting this threader thoug I wish I were Colombian. British Colombian?

How about Kurt Wagner singing Nomeansno's "Self Pity"

If I actually am Canadian, is it still an "insult?

I asked because I remember hearing it on Brave New Waves AND on Nightlines and thinking (something along the lines of) "What the hell is this?"

And, I guess on August 28th, I wanted to hear it again.

Or at least figure out WHO created this awful-some (for lengthy explanation of this term and examples, listen to this week's episode of The Best Show on WFMU, available here: http://www.wfmu.org/listen.ram?show=11604&archive=13899 )

egad! I left out a word. Where is the edit feature!

This Awful-some creation.
