i don't like it, ingram loves it. i don't like it because i know about the attitudes and assumptions that underlie it. it's not from east london, it's from south london and is basically about snobbery, not celebration.
it's about the sheer amount of condescension, disparagement, fear, incomprehension, jealousy, contempt etc felt by
'proper garage' bods
towards the east london lot.

i see what you're getting at luka re: snobbery esp as it's actually written by some of the writers at rwd mag. the stuff about playstation production etc is too obvious and i think there are mcs from east and north west and north especially people like donae'o who are better at self-referential humour.

but then it could be seen as a dig at 'fake' garage heads who live in west hampstead and tune into deja vu cos it's cool to listen to black music; if so fuck off even more please.

Point taken Luka but I think it's very funny anyway. Not knowing the story behind it, it *sounds* to me more like a friendly poke than a nasty parody.

bit too gimmicky. was going to buy it, but i didnt think it was that funny. was kinda tempted though...the beat is quite nice. i think the silly voices would piss me off abit too much.
