surely, 14 year old Momus also listened to Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and Nazareth? like other british and american 14 year olds at that time?
I bought a bootleg of a Deep Purple album off a kid at school and I think the tape was fucked, because it was just this muffled murky blur of drums and guitars. I hated it.
Seriously, the only records I bought at 14 were by David Bowie. Which means I probably only bought one record that year, 'Diamond Dogs'.
