He does utilize drones but I'd hesitate to use the term ambient to describe his work. He founded the industrial group P16.D4 in the early 80's.
I enjoyed his album 'Pullover', would be interested in checking out more if anyone has any recommendations.

yeah I have those, all three of 'em. The third one just came out on some non-Swill label. I don't remember anything that totally blew me away like the prime P16.D4 stuff. I'll give 'em another listen and report back, but I don't think they're essential or anything.
by the way, the new RLW record is called "Ikk-purpur" and is very very good.

I have the first and second one.
I didn't realize the third one was on a different label! I do remember that it came out later than the other two.
I don't remember much about them, to be honest. But I do still love 13 and Acht. I just pulled them out a couple months ago actually... still sounded great

If the p16.d4 recordings are better, any recommendations on those? I have the Masse Menche compilation.

unfortunately I think all the Sonoris reissues of P16.D4 are out of print. My favorite is "Acrid Acme Of P16D4" (on Selektion) with "Tionchor" a close second. I also dig the "Three Projects" CD. For Wehowsky solo, I'd recommend 14, a good overview of different periods.
