(whole numbers plays the basics is a very good album, but isn't it a bit early for retro-idm?)

'It's Very Sunny' is MAJEK! (said in a Cameron from BB4 style voice), other tracks i've heard ('The Possible Light', 'Aquarium') also very nice. the BOC influence/element is unavoidable - but I don't really understand their name/what it means.

Casino VS Japan is Erik Kowalski who lives in Milwaulkee. He has three albums, the first is extremeley out of print, I can give you a CDR if you like. It's much more droney and bizarre than Go Hawaii or the new one. Similarly, the first Charles Atlas album was a collaboration between Casino and Charles from Piano Magic, and was originally slated to be a Casino record when they started recording. I have a great live performance of Charles and Erik opening for Low from 1999 which incorporates a lot of that album and the first Casino record.

Erik doesn't travel outside of Milwaulkee because he is afraid of airplanes, Humvee used one of his songs for their latest ad campaign, he is remixing The Deadest Bar for the Charles Atlas remix album out this winter.
