Insert "Britny/pro-Bush" joke here.

Tucker Carlson?

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Monday, 8 September 2003 13:50 (twenty-one years ago)

I'd like to always trust the office but I've regularly had doubts about the officeholder for about, oh, two decades plus...

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 8 September 2003 13:54 (twenty-one years ago)

So you thought the peanut farmer was OK then did you Ned ?

Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Monday, 8 September 2003 13:58 (twenty-one years ago)

I was too young to think or be sure otherwise at the time. Reagan was the one who started my soul a-curdling.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 8 September 2003 14:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Carter had Charles Mingus and Cecil Taylor play at his inauguration gala. Bush had Ricky Martin and Lee Greenwood. End of argument.

Marcello Carlin, Monday, 8 September 2003 14:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Hahahahaha.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 8 September 2003 14:08 (twenty-one years ago)

"Reagan was the one who started my soul a-curdling."

I have to agree with you Ned. Ronnie and Maggie - what a delightful couple they were.

A lot like Dubya and Blair in many respects of course....

"Carter had Charles Mingus and Cecil Taylor play at his inauguration gala"

Wow! Really? I never credited Jimmy Carter with that much personality!

dave q, Monday, 8 September 2003 15:33 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm waiting for them to start assassinating leaders again.

Dadaismus (Dada), Monday, 8 September 2003 15:38 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm waiting for Leaders.

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Monday, 8 September 2003 15:40 (twenty-one years ago)

"I'm waiting for them to start assassinating leaders again."

Shame the leaders aren't.

Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Monday, 8 September 2003 15:43 (twenty-one years ago)

That statement isn't pro-Bush, it's pro-authority.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 8 September 2003 15:45 (twenty-one years ago)

bush IS the law.

RJG (RJG), Monday, 8 September 2003 16:54 (twenty-one years ago)

Is it possible for the administration to just declare themselves President-for-Life? That would be kind of funny. At least for like two or three months, and then I'd have to move out of the US for disgust. But then they'd just attack, like, Brixton or wherever I end up, right. Then I'd have to work for the undercover, underground, anti-authority organization but judging by the company I keep our meetings would just end up with a really loud playing of the Lupin III theme song or something, and we'd dance around like the Peanuts gang and democracy will fail for yet another day, my bad :(

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 8 September 2003 17:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Ally, I kiss you.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 8 September 2003 17:05 (twenty-one years ago)

You won't when Bush attacks the Marseilles and I can't stop him cos I was too busy listening to Deee-Lite!!!! DAMN YOU, BRITNEY SPEARS.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 8 September 2003 17:08 (twenty-one years ago)

Does Britney even count as a celebrity anymore? I mean, she's no Hilary Duff...

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Monday, 8 September 2003 17:10 (twenty-one years ago)

"Carter had Charles Mingus and Cecil Taylor play at his inauguration gala."

Willie Nelson also played the White House while Carter was Prez and Willie has stated he smoked a joint on the roof before playing the show.

earlnash, Monday, 8 September 2003 18:36 (twenty-one years ago)
