Robbie Nevil Appreciation Thread

This guy is an astonishing guitar player. On track 1 of the second album there's a McLaughlin-plays-"Spanish Fly" acoustic solo and he fuckin' shreds on that, and on track 3 it's Metallic KO. 'Twixt those is "Back on Holiday" which is the best song ever in the world. I especially like how it copies that "Cisco Kid" horn riff. WTF happened to this guy? Was he one of those temperamental genius ppl who labels can't stand? Seriously, that's the only reason I can think of for his disappearance!

I remember a friend of mine in high school adored him and "Domino" had a nicely weird chorus. Beyond that...

I really thought you must be talking about a different Robbie Nevil. Oh well, c'est la vie.

Why, 'wot's it to ya'?

Here we go. But which one of us could strike that album shot pose?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 15 September 2003 19:44 (twenty-two years ago)

You've got the hair for it.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 15 September 2003 19:53 (twenty-two years ago)

But can I smoulder as well as you?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 15 September 2003 19:53 (twenty-two years ago)

Seriously, that's the only reason I can think of for his disappearance!

The actual reason for his disappearance: c'est la vie.

Two mentions of the 'big hit' already! "This thread's broke down, the thang just isn't movin'"!
