In 2001 I was working in a crappy job that I hated, and every morning before I left for work I'd play that song to calm me down.

There are some great tracks on MM, but it labours hard under it's overarching sci-fi concept. Like The Who's 'Tommy', there are a few songs which seem to be there just to advance the story. In comparison, 'Last...''s central concept works much more in it's favour, allowing it to be a looser patchwork of songs while still holding together as a whole.

The new album is actually set to be released this year!
She released this video a couple months ago; very disappointed tho esp since she released a much better Christmas song 10 years ago :(

that's too bad. "perfect" remains one of the great earworms of the mid 00s, both the original and the better known exceeder mix

princesssuperstarAnna Merlan5/10/16 4:21pmThis article is totally biased, one-sided, and doesn’t reflect all the people (including myself) that International has helped. Irresponsible journalism and lame reporting Anna! He is a visionary and has helped me be super successful in my life and in my marriage, and as a mom. The cult thing is ridiculous- last I checked cults don’t let you have outside relationships- well I can have relationships with anyone I want to (and I do); I have an amazing evolving career thanks to him; and over the years has helped me for free when I couldn’t pay. Also usually cult leaders are inappropriate with their members, well I’ve been studying with him for 8 years and never ONCE saw him be inappropriate with a woman, he is honorable and humble and a real genius. All visionaries have been maligned and slandered in history and so I’m not really surprised this is happening, but at least write a balanced article!6Reply16 replies

A shame...
It seems she's been involved for some years, as she posted this in January 2010 on her site with a link to "The Process" (no longer a valid link)...
A million dollars and a record deal or book deal or boyfriend or girlfriend etc. is NOT gonna make you happy if you are miserable now (and treating yourself and others like shit.) Trust me in this. So what can you do RIGHT now to be happy? Well, you gotta look realistically at your ego and your unconscious patterning that keep you stuck. I am doing this work called The Process which is exactly that. I have changed a thousand percent because of my willingness to go into the icky crappy mire that is your ego- and to feel the pain. But you need a good guide, and you need support! And also you need to surround yourself with people who are on a similar path so you can lift each other up (and get rid of the people who bring you down.)!

Oops - her long involvement is clear from the article. But she's been promoting it heavily from 2009:
...maker of miracles, this guy greg scherick and posse have totally changed my life,
transporting me into the truth, making me happy beyond my wildest dreams.
now greg is coming to new york to do 2 special workshops for women.
artist or not…we’re all artists anyway-
the intro event is this friday october 23. and ladies, it will be the best money ever spent. ever.
by his uncanny ability to identify unconscious sabotaging patterns that run us and mess us up at every turn,
greg will be able to pry open your head and get those nasty things out- so the new improved magical sparkly you can emerge!
it’s got the princess superstar guarantee!

this sort of reminds me of stuff like "dianetics" and landmark. they take uncontroversial ideas from psychotherapy -- you know, the idea that people "sabotage" themselves, that cognitive therapy can be beneficial on this front -- and then twist them in ways that cause people to end up being dependent, easy targets for extortion.

Worse than this is the songs she's been bringing out recently. Really.

She shows up on my instagram a fair bit. It's 90% posts prominently showing her cleavage, and 10% of posts with photos from her rather ancient glory days as a performer and DJ travelling the world.
