Dancehall albums and classic tunes - Search & Destroy

I only own a small amount of dancehall compared to my evergrowing 70s and 60s reggae collection. I know we've probably done this before but I'd really like to know about the essential dancehall releases to get. My only qualm with dancehall, particularly single-artist albums is that it gets a bit relentless and exhausting.
A lot of tracks start well but go on for four or five minutes without picking up pace or doing anything particularly interesting, to my ears. I often find myself wishing the producer would mix a few jungle breaks in by the end of a track or change tempo or something. Maybe I'm missing the whole point of the genre here though?
Anyway, this is going off topic, so I'll kick the list off with some single tunes that I like:

Alozade et al: Under Mi Sensi
Lady G: Man A Bad Man
Wayne Marshall: Whole World
Elephant Man: Tall Up Tall Up
Sizzla: What Does It Worth?
Morgan Heritage feat Bounty Killer: Guns in the Ghetto
Ward21: Petrol

I'm not really looking for compilations unless they're particularly grand, but decent single-artist albums would be ace as well as single tunes.

dog latin--I'll try and make up a nice list by tonight...I understand your frustration with the "start well, keep on keepin' on" problem with dancehall. Almost every tune seems to have this issue because the bare fact is that they're supposed to be mixed together. There is about a million times more emphasis on the intro and the first minute or so of a dancheall tune because that's the part that people usually hear--and demand it get licked back and played again.

Shit. I know. I know. I know. I have it sitting here next to my computer.

doglatin: buy some soundsystem tapes. I recommend Stone Love--they're not a clashing sound. Soundclash tapes can be a little frantic and annoying.
