Search: 50's intro on Get Rich.. - simple and perfect
Steve Berman on Marshall Mathers - funny and a good match with the album's spirit

Destroy: 50's Ja Rule bit - Acting "flouncy" to diss a fellow artist is so, eh.

A Girl Named Sam (thatgirl), Thursday, 18 September 2003 23:38 (twenty-two years ago)

The mixtape cuts of 50 imitating and making fun of Ja Rule are hilarious. They can be easily downloaded and are good for a few laughs.

Also, I remember finding Ice Cube's "JD's Gafflin'" funny in high school, but it's actually pretty terrifying, even though it's almost definitely a joke.

Ben Boyer (Ben Boyer), Thursday, 18 September 2003 23:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Sammy this was my first ever ILM thread!!! I don't have any new shit to offer, though, sorry.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Thursday, 18 September 2003 23:53 (twenty-two years ago)

Very good Tracer. Although I certainly didn't want to just limit it to Hip Hop:

Search: The bong hit on the Asylum Street Spankers Spanker Madness

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Friday, 19 September 2003 00:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Friday, 19 September 2003 01:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes. Yes it is.

search: fannypack's let's get famous !!!

reo fordecor, Friday, 19 September 2003 02:42 (twenty-two years ago)

S: digital underground, "arguin' on the funk." shock g argues with himself (as humpty) over their "rhymin' on the funk" beat! about p-funk! it's supposed to be a song but it's really a glorified skit.

rob geary (rgeary), Friday, 19 September 2003 02:52 (twenty-two years ago)

also gza's liquid swords skits. it's the lovable nadir of atrociously acted wu-tang "cinematic" skits!

rob geary (rgeary), Friday, 19 September 2003 02:53 (twenty-two years ago)

duh! also, liquid swords, best intro ever

rob geary (rgeary), Friday, 19 September 2003 02:57 (twenty-two years ago)

J0hn Darn1elle (J0hn Darn1elle), Friday, 19 September 2003 03:04 (twenty-two years ago)

What about the intros on Raekwon's 'Only Built 4 Cuban Linx'? Those raise incomprehensibility to new levels! witness: "Julio Iglesias - 'bout to make cream like that 'nuh'" (and that's one of the few that does make any kind of sense).

Witness also the Rza's introduction to Triumph on Wu-Tang Forever, for another example of 'could you please run that one by me again?' classicness.

M Carty (mj_c), Friday, 19 September 2003 07:00 (twenty-two years ago)

But, as mentioned above, "When I was little, my father was famous..." has to be the greatest of all rap intros.

M Carty (mj_c), Friday, 19 September 2003 07:00 (twenty-two years ago)

All-time worst: 'F*** me' by Notorious BIG. Now is a gentleman of his proportions really going to be that athletic in the bedroom?

M Carty (mj_c), Friday, 19 September 2003 07:01 (twenty-two years ago)

oh come on, 'fuck me you black, kentucky fried chicken eatin, motherfuckin gangsta killin, motherfuckin fat, mafia ass, you chronic smokin, OREO COOKIE EATIN, PICKLE JUICE DRINKIN, CHICKEN GRISTLE EATIN, BISCUIT FUCKIN FUCKIN MOTHERFUCKER!! V8 JUICE DRINKIN, SLIM FAST BLENDIN BLACK GREASY MOTHERFUCKER!!!'

trife (simon_tr), Friday, 19 September 2003 07:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Well, yeah, what she says is funny and all, it's just the thought of what is inspiring her to such heights that kind of churns my stomach!

M Carty (mj_c), Friday, 19 September 2003 07:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Second best intro: The Wild Style samples at the start of Illmatic by Nas.

M Carty (mj_c), Friday, 19 September 2003 07:15 (twenty-two years ago)

I love you for posting that, Ethan

Dave M. (rotten03), Friday, 19 September 2003 08:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Friday, 19 September 2003 10:39 (twenty-two years ago)

Wu-Tang own this thread.

"I sow yo' asshole shut, an' keep feedin' you, an' feedin' you."

Nick H, Friday, 19 September 2003 14:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Destroy all skits that come at the end of tracks or take too long at the beginning. Make 'em separate, I don't want to sit through the skit more than once. (except for the Wu Tang skit mentioned above)

miloauckerman (miloauckerman), Friday, 19 September 2003 19:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Fannypack's "Hippopotamus" track -- friggin hysterical.

Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique

A Girl Named Sam (thatgirl), Saturday, 20 September 2003 15:08 (twenty-two years ago)

BEST SKIT EVER: "Incident At 66.6 FM" by Public Enemy.

PE IN FULL EFFECT, BROTHAAAAAAA!!!!

Of course I really hate how the skit ends with the DJ just saying, "Well if you had read about 'em and about the way they've been treated in the American press..." and then it just ends. What?!?! COMPLETE THE SENTENCE!! They've been treated in the American presss how?!?!?! DON'T LEAVE THE LISTENER HANGIN'!!!!!!!!

Mr. Snrub, Saturday, 20 September 2003 16:05 (twenty-two years ago)
