NOTE: Thread title should read "2000's" not 200's.

Josh Timmermann (Josh Timmermann), Wednesday, 1 October 2003 05:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Can Ox, Ghostface Higher. Yeah Yeah Yeah's much lower. In my opinion.

D Aziz (esquire1983), Wednesday, 1 October 2003 06:13 (twenty-two years ago)

i dunno, it's a pretty boring list josh. i recognise every single album title, and nearly every one of them is the kind of album that would have a special sticker on it in the record shop with snippets of 4 star reviews from various well respected magazines. the ones that are more pop are critical safe bets except maybe the nelly album. i'd guess from it that you're pretty young? and that you read pitchfork? it's similar to the kind of list i would have made before i found ilm. i can't really discern the aesthetic of an individual. this is a very condescending post which is why i have logged out like a coward. you probably want snobby opinions like mine rather than none at all though right? after saying all that, there are some good records there, but the nature of the list negates their presence for me because it's easy to have good taste.

#1 and #5 on the singles list would most definitely be in my top ten also, pretty sure #7 would be also

dean gulberry, Wednesday, 1 October 2003 15:53 (twenty-two years ago)

Any such list that excludes Absu is just WRONG.

Siegbran (eofor), Wednesday, 1 October 2003 16:03 (twenty-two years ago)

this reads like the writer picked up his interest in music in 2002.

mrjackhandey (mrjackhandey), Wednesday, 1 October 2003 18:47 (twenty-two years ago)

I've only got seven of the records on your list.

Thinking about it, I proabably don't have 100 albums from 2000 and beyond, even though I proabably have around 1200 cds/records.

earlnash, Wednesday, 1 October 2003 19:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Geir Hongro (GeirHong), Wednesday, 1 October 2003 19:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Dead on about GYBE and Tom Waits. I would have placed them higher (top 20, say). Oh, and Coldplay and Lou Reed should MUCH higher on the albums list. (Know what else I'll be doing, tonight!)

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Wednesday, 1 October 2003 19:41 (twenty-two years ago)

why do people feel the need to take dumps in public?

gabbo giftington (dubplatestyle), Wednesday, 1 October 2003 19:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Lack of decent, well-kept public conveniences?

adaml (adaml), Wednesday, 1 October 2003 19:51 (twenty-two years ago)

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 1 October 2003 21:59 (twenty-two years ago)

I'd happily shit in your mouth in private, Jess. The important thing is that you eat it.
