The Pole gig starts in 75 minutes, should I get off my ass and go?

This will be the third time I have seen him, first with Scion in 1998, and then with Farben and Burnt Friedman in 2000. Should I bother? I guess I just don't know.

Mike's right, the rapper is really lame, but I did like the instrumental tracks on his new LP. I'm not yet sure should I buy it. How are Pole's gigs usually like? Does he try to play live, or does he sit by his laptop?

Tuomas (Tuomas), Friday, 3 October 2003 09:34 (twenty-two years ago)

so pole is playing in orlando, fl tonight and the show is being promoted as his only US appearance - where was he playing last night? and yeah, does he sit at his laptop/have his rapper or not? does he play older stuff like "raum" or is it all the new stuff? someone with details please enlighten me to the live pole experience.

i saw him last week in los angeles and he had his laptop, a mixer, a synth, a melodica, and no vocalist. i enjoyed it immensely.

dan (dan), Friday, 3 October 2003 16:18 (twenty-two years ago)

He was in Detroit last night, I was too lazy to leave the house.

Mike Taylor (mjt), Friday, 3 October 2003 22:49 (twenty-two years ago)

Mike, where did he play in Detroit? I didn't even hear about that show. Oh well, I've seen him twice already (once at the detroit contemporary with B. Friedman, and at this year's Movement festival). I don't think you missed anything great.

Jeff Sumner (Jeff Sumner), Saturday, 4 October 2003 16:01 (twenty-two years ago)

He played Downtown at 1515 Broadway. The only reason I knew about it is because I am on Sharif's mailing list and I got an E-flier in my mailbox the day of the event.

robin (robin), Saturday, 4 October 2003 22:49 (twenty-two years ago)

if they have a good soundsystem in dublin, go! there is nothing to see but sonically it is great and there are no crap rappers on this tour.
