pretty funny. not amazing or anything, but a good waste of $5 & 2 hours if you have that to waste...

i guess i can see why people dont like jack black, but i think hes pretty funny. he seems like he genuinely enjoys what hes doing & that makes him even funnier... that he doesnt have to fake it.

anyways, good soundtrack & other songs sprinkled throughout the movie... seemed to be obsessed w/ early metal (sabbath, zeppelin, etc.) & punk (ramones, clash, sex pistols), & sort of just like details of a bit more obscure stuff (minutemen, godflesh, king crimson) for music appreciators to notice.

all in all, fun movie. good family movie too.

I liked it a lot but I can't help but be bothered by the fact that one kid referred to Sean Combs as "Puff Daddy". Welcome to 2003, Hollywood Writer People!

my aunt lives in a small town in illinois outside springfield and it cost $2.75 to see a brand new movie there. the staff was all apologetic because they had to raise their prices from $2.50.
