I want suggestions for the 45 best & most essential rap songs of the 90s and 00s for my mp3 player. please start in the post N.W.A. period. i want to focus on the coasts but have some essentials from the south and midwest.

you don't have to choose obscure stuff, mega hit singles are fair game if you believe they made a huge impact on pop culture.

i welcome links to previous threads too.

Being from the south, I personally like 3 6 Mafia. They havent gotten much play until this year with "Ridin' Spinners", but just about every track from their "World Domination" cd is good. The best I think are:

Tear da club up
Late night tip
Smoke dat weed
Who run it
You Scared

Also from others,

Jagged Edge and Nelly - Where the party at
Master P - Burbans and Lacs
Goodie Mob - They dont dance no mo'
Dr.Dre - Keep their heads ringin'
Tupac - Ambitions as a ridah

This may not really be what you're into, but I like it. Maybe I can think of some others later.
