Yeah, very important question. What is the origin of the phrase "rock out with your cock out"? When and where was the first known use of the phrase?

"Rock out with your cock out" was once interchangeable with "Careful with that zipper, Eugene", though the latter is nowadays rather seldom used.

Incidentally, Anthony Kiedis once proved his manhood to me in person when I was working at a publishing company in Grand Rapids, Michigan that helped put out the RHCP Fan Club Newsletter. The first time I heard the phrase was in Hawaii in the late 70's. The band was called Lock Up Your Daughters and the lead singer was Tookie. The song was "Rock Out With Your Cock Out". I don't know if Tookie coined the expression. The song was a simple Heavy Metal 1-1-4-1-5-1. Typical 1 note screaming. 4/4 time.
