Hildy, Monday, 6 October 2003 03:50 (twenty-one years ago)

During my first ever makeout session, after a few songs that had set the mood quite nicely, the radio station decided to play "It's the End of the World As We Know It."

My name is Kenny (My name is Kenny), Monday, 6 October 2003 03:50 (twenty-one years ago)

the surface noise (electricsound), Monday, 6 October 2003 03:53 (twenty-one years ago)

i had a girl stay the night over the summer and i put on Six Organs Of Admittance - Dark Noontide and midway through the album it just freaks out in a huge amount of noise that i forgot about and she woke me up and told me it was "fucking up her head" and she left. doh.

brock (brock), Monday, 6 October 2003 03:53 (twenty-one years ago)

"Frankie Teardrop"

Mike Ouderkirk (Mike Ouderkirk), Monday, 6 October 2003 06:18 (twenty-one years ago)

I once made a friend a Neu! tape. He listened to it with his girlfriend and had an experience similar to brock's - I ended the first side of the tape with stuff from the B side of 'Neu! 2'.

Sasha (sgh), Monday, 6 October 2003 06:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Probably anything by Led Zeppelin or the Bee Gees.

Mia P, Monday, 6 October 2003 06:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Justyn Dillingham (Justyn Dillingham), Monday, 6 October 2003 06:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Justyn Dillingham (Justyn Dillingham), Monday, 6 October 2003 06:34 (twenty-one years ago)

Ladytron - Seventeen

Andrzej B. (Andrzej B.), Monday, 6 October 2003 06:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Zeppelin's live record is not a good idea for makin' the love.

One that is, weirdly enough: The Darkness' "Permission to Land."

Chris O., Monday, 6 October 2003 07:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Too Drunk To Fuck by the Dead Kennedys

mentalist (mentalist), Monday, 6 October 2003 07:05 (twenty-one years ago)

neu! is great for making out: the nonstop motorik keeps up the momentum!

geeta (geeta), Monday, 6 October 2003 07:07 (twenty-one years ago)

"Come to Daddy" Aphex Twin.

mark grout (mark grout), Monday, 6 October 2003 07:48 (twenty-one years ago)

"Abortion" by Kraut, "Find Her Feel Her Fuck Her Forget Her" by the Mentors, "I Kill Everything I Fuck" by GG Allin and anything off Plague Mass by Diamanda Galas.

Ah, romance!

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 6 October 2003 10:49 (twenty-one years ago)

Plague Mass by Diamanda Galas

this is great to sacrifice cats to though!!! but not to make-out to.

Vic (Vic), Monday, 6 October 2003 11:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Anything by Anal Cunt. But if I found a girl who wanted to make out to that...well, there's the dream girl.

gage o (gage o), Monday, 6 October 2003 12:42 (twenty-one years ago)

"reptile" by nin

dyson (dyson), Monday, 6 October 2003 13:21 (twenty-one years ago)

a friend's ex actually used to throw on some diamonda galas for consummation, but she was that kinda gal anyhow.

beta, Monday, 6 October 2003 13:45 (twenty-one years ago)

Any Big Black would seem pretty poor for making out purposes.

Matt Helgeson (Matt Helgeson), Monday, 6 October 2003 15:38 (twenty-one years ago)

I second the whitehouse. Personally, I haven't had much luck with Blechdom from blectum.

tiiiiiiiiiim (tiiiiiiiiiim), Monday, 6 October 2003 15:46 (twenty-one years ago)

Blur "Song 2"

nickalicious (nickalicious), Monday, 6 October 2003 15:48 (twenty-one years ago)

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 6 October 2003 16:08 (twenty-one years ago)

hasil adkins owns.

beta, Monday, 6 October 2003 16:22 (twenty-one years ago)

No more hotdogs, indeed.

I don't recommend making out to George Michael. I was at an ex's house and she threw the tape on as a joke, and we kind of ignored it and starting kissing. about three minutes into it, Father Figure starting pumping from the stereo and kinda killed the vibe.

George Michael might be good if two men are kissing, but it is definitely no good for boys and girls.

Mike Taylor (mjt), Monday, 6 October 2003 16:28 (twenty-one years ago)

I was once frantically trying not to make out with a girl (it was a moral thing) and kept changing the CD accordingly. I told her I was trying to find something that would cool things down. As John Lennon's 'I Don't Want To Be A Soldier' got going and so did we she said "This isn't it". Which illustrates that it's not about the lyrics. And that I'm irresistable, obv.

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 6 October 2003 16:29 (twenty-one years ago)

hasil adkins? jesus, you are obviously NOT from the south.

mr. adkins makes the ladies go a-crazee!

gage o (gage o), Monday, 6 October 2003 16:38 (twenty-one years ago)

i'd have to say Crass based on past experience.

gygax! (gygax!), Monday, 6 October 2003 16:39 (twenty-one years ago)

Nearly everything on this thread that I've heard I have made out to. Neu! is the BEST. Whoever said free jazz is soooo wrong. EC's "I Want You" was kinda creepy, though.

Sonny A. (Keiko), Monday, 6 October 2003 16:43 (twenty-one years ago)

wow, I am moving down home ASAP!

Mike Taylor (mjt), Monday, 6 October 2003 16:43 (twenty-one years ago)

probably that Oompa Loompa song from Willy Wonka.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Monday, 6 October 2003 16:48 (twenty-one years ago)

Actually...

nickalicious (nickalicious), Monday, 6 October 2003 16:50 (twenty-one years ago)

almost anything becomes terrible depending upon the scenario. i have a cdr of rad post-punkish obscurities that i had to retire from makeout duty after record nerds on two separate occasions interrupted whatever was going on to say, "hey! i have this 45!"

lauren (laurenp), Monday, 6 October 2003 16:58 (twenty-one years ago)

"Do it till you're satisfied" B.T. Express

that's my kinda gal

Felcher (Felcher), Monday, 6 October 2003 17:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Jay-Z's Volume 3 pretty much ended my longest-ever relationship. Which is yet another reason to love that album.

Tom Breihan (Tom Breihan), Monday, 6 October 2003 17:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Dead or Alive's "You Spin Me"

Xii (Xii), Monday, 6 October 2003 18:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Curt1s St3ph3ns, Monday, 6 October 2003 19:44 (twenty-one years ago)

hd, Monday, 6 October 2003 21:19 (twenty-one years ago)

I disagree. This is the music of love. Who is TAOC TEH WODNER DOG?

(Jon L), Monday, 6 October 2003 21:56 (twenty-one years ago)

wot's the one called again that's on yes's close to the edge and starts, lyric wise, with "love comes to you/ and you follow..." and afterwards throws, dynamics wise, fit after fit after fit...?

yeah, that one. that ain't no making-out-friendly piece of music i don't think.

t\'\'t (t\'\'t), Monday, 6 October 2003 22:06 (twenty-one years ago)

ooooh dang!
(me so rock-proggingly challenged, ouch)
that's on fkn fragile, of course.
but that doesn't make it more making-out-friendly by any stretch. i don't think.

t\'\'t (t\'\'t), Monday, 6 October 2003 22:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Your own band! What could be more off putting? "Aargh! Bum note! Why didn't we remix this one?" etc etc.

udu wudu (udu wudu), Monday, 6 October 2003 22:33 (twenty-one years ago)
