Mary J. Blige - "Ooh!"

not a big fan of Mary aside from "Real Love", so I like the retro feel on her recent singles.

anyone know what this samples? I read something that said the beat is from "I Got To Have It" by Ed O.G. & Da Bulldogs, but I don't know that one. the thing that's bugging me is that I could swear that that piano sample is also used in Soul Coughing's "Sugar Free Jazz" -- maybe I'm crazy, but it's either from a shared source, or uncannily similiar.

its the best thing she's done in years

Ed O.G. did use the same Bohannon ("Singing a Song for My Mother") sample. The Ed O.G. track is one of my favorite rap singles of all-time, and the Blige track is one of my favorites on her new album -- I also get chills during the interlude where she sings over "Summer Madness."

also is it just me or is that hook just a little too close to Tweet's "Oops"?
