1. The Lollies - Taste - about a hundred of them all in a row!

2. The Radar Brothers - slo-core Byrdsian jangle. I was slightly shocked to see them in bin.

3. Eastern Lane - I know that Rough Trade is having a resurgence but was this not just recently released?

The Radar Brothers are fine and they have some terrific songs and all, but Christ, they've only got one f*cking speed which tends to get a bit annoying over the course of an entire CD. Definitely a mix-tape band.

Which Radar Bros album? Get it anyway. It took me about two months to get into them when I got their first album. Mind I was playing late at night and kept falling asleep to it, but I kept persevering and something finally clicked (it helped that my world fell apart around the same time and it seemed to fit with my world view) and I love 'em now. Saw them last year too, not exactly the most rocking night of my life, but lovely nevertheless.

Buy it, play it from time to time, let it seep into your life.
