I read the moz went to great lengths to make sure he and mike joyce would have to wait a long time to get their hands on that court settlement they won a couple years back... dont know if marr tried to stiff them.

Didn't only Mike Joyce get the settlement from Moz. IIRC Andy Rourke settled out of court for a (relatively) miniscule sum. Please correct me if I'm wrong

I don't know all the details of the settlement other than moz acting childish (as per usual). But I thought he had a couple million pounds coming his way...

I thought Bill E was right.

Yah. 10%. Which would make him automatically a millionaire.

WTF...Sorry about that. That probably read like I'm drunk AND retarded. But yes, I was agreeing with you, and being specific on the Mike Joyce settlement.

That's cool. Thanks for clearing that up.

The rhythm section of the Smiths were so underrated, or just not rated. Understandably everyone talks about the swooning miserablism of Morrissey and Johnny Marr's godlike guitar skills. But give it up for Andy and Mike.

omg listen to andy on this night has opened my eyes. fucking amazing bass player.

Pablo Cruise (chaki), Friday, 10 October 2003 06:36 (twenty-one years ago)

I though Marr paid out a hefty sum to both.. And it was just that other guy who was stiffing them.

The sad thing is, if I had the money I would totally buy it.

Rourke played bass for Killing Joke for about seven minutes in 1989 or so. Apparently, he had a bit of a problem with smack at the time, which didn't go over especially well with the lads in the Joke. Legend has it that after they lowered the boom on him, he was too intimidated to go back and fetch his bass amp.

The big question I have is why is HE sellling it? Indugling in golden brown/arm candy/mr.brownstone/_______ (fill in colourful euphemism for heroin here) again?
