I liked some of the tracks on Public Access, but what I've heard off the new release is *meh*.

He *said* "meh". M-E-H.

And he was right.

I've heard audacious comparisons to Devo and the Talking Heads, but nothing to support them.

this band is asinine.

but i do like how they borrow from 'this old man' in their single.

Took me a while to realize they were a different band than I Am Robot and Proud.

one of the worst new bands to emerge since this post-punk trend started. if you put them alongside Junior Senior you'd have to rate them as the worst double bill anyone could've imagined. complete and utter shite.

Junior Senior is great. Ima Robot seems kinda obvious to me, in a let's-see-what-we-can-get-away-with-putting-out-on-a-major-because-we-know-Beck sorta way. I saw them on Letterman, and I was both interested that someone was doing this on a high profile and bored by the music. I'm sure it's not really bad if you sit down with it, but honestly I can't drum up the desire to.

"Dynomite" is a happy fun single, but as for the rest of the album, I defer to Maura.

seven years pass...

Okay, this new album is... intriguing. Not good, maybe horrible, but at least kind of fascinating to hear. Right now I'm listening to "Life Is Short" a faux-reggae track made with lots of chirpy synths that is JUST this side of Ween.

Okay and now "Sail With Me" which is like a grade-D 1980s Bowie impersonator singing a shitty smooth yacht rock song with the Arcade Fire people on shouted gang vocals. This is kind of great in a trainwreck way.
