The world title is on the line...most hilariously bad rap-middle! Add Scott Ian in Anthrax' collaboration with Public Enemy on "Bring the Noise", and I say you have a fair triple threat match.

They're both terrible, but I don't know if I'd even consider "the night has a thousand saxophones" part rapping. The rest of "Rapture" is better than the rest of "Roll the Bones" though.

Dude, is there even a contest here? It's clearly Rapture. Granted, you get a bit sick of the man from Mars eating everything in view after about 2 minutes but the song is fantastic, despite Debbie's "rap".

The instrumental break in 'Rapture' is amazing and is concrete proof of the band's genius (as if you needed it).

My favorite 'Roll the Bones' moment was provided by some reviewer for the local alternaweekly who was an obvious Rush fan but grumbled that he was still 'coming to terms with the rap section'. Dude, if it's 1991, you're reviewing records, and you're still 'coming to terms' with rap, just please back slowly away from the keyboard.

Make it a four way battle royale with Talking Heads weighing in with their 'Facts' rapping.

Thanks Kris, Ally and Jeff for pointing out the obvious. I could really go on at length about this, but the question doesn't even deserve it.

Jeff, I think the 'coming to terms' would have more to do with the rap sucking, than with its being rap.

"Pointing out the obvious", I could not agree more. I mean, "Mercuries and Subarus", that is really cool. And how can Geddy Lee compete with DebbieH? How can he compete with anyone anyway?!

A real (and more fair) contest would be between "Roll the Bones" and anything off of Dee Dee Ramone's "rap" record. "Rapture" so thoroughly whips "Roll the Bones," it's like a war between us and Kiribati.

Anything by 311 v. Faith No More: "Epic"
