The Shy Retirer EP or Are you tired of Arab Strap?

I'm curious about the EP, but I already have 4 or 5 Arab Strap albums and while there are individual spots of brilliance, they tend to bleed together.

Do I need more? Do you?

I passed on Monday at the Hug and Pint. Not because I wouldn't like it, just, well, I know what it sounds like already.

I figured maybe the EP would kickstart my AS jones.

You are missing out, it's bloody brilliant. Seriously, AS are not a quick fix pair of songwriters.

I too passed on Monday, but downloaded the EP just to see what the covers were like, and a day later ordered a copy online. The EP is really great. THe ACDC and Van Halen covers are both really good, and the new songs are, to me, classic arab strap.
I'm now going back and giving Monday a second chance, so I guess the EP is worthy of kickstarting an AS jones.

I bought "summer" and "weekend" (1st single and album) and though wonderful, didn't need any more than that.

Heared "retirer" on Mark and Lard, bought e.p. and the lead track and remix and 2 covers are great. Not fussed about the other two tracks...

So, again, I have as much Arab Strap as I need...

I think I've had my fill. Unless I decide to go on like a month-long bender or something. They would definitely be in the rotation then.
