Are Tucky Buzzard anywhere near as brane-fryingly great as Piblokto or the Broughtons? I've never heard them.

"Warm Slash" was probably their best. Bill Wyman had a thing for them,
producing a couple of their LPs. I seem to recall a photo of
piss-stained trousers -- hence "Warm Slash" -- on the inner sleeve of this one. Thumping hard rock on this one with decent guitar and a
complimentary brutal and spare production.

Where are the...

In Stonerville, but there's a lot of straw to sift through to find the few sharp needles.

Terminal Lovers is one that dropped into my lap recently.

Radiohead are the Edgar Broughton Band, according to Morrissey. When asked what he thought of them in about 2001, he said "I don't see why they don't just get over it and call themselves the Edgar Broughton Band". He liked them before Kid A, mind.

Bill Wyman had a thing for them,

he produced them even further back when they were The End.i think he produced the one and only The End album. and he plays on their groovy single "Shades of Orange". i have the second tucky buzzard album and its worth a couple bucks. some cool boogie rock tracks. alas, the fabled Wyman touch never made them stars.

Acid Mothers Temple, Punctum and Kings Of Leon.

Marcello Carlin, Thursday, 16 October 2003 08:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Edgar Broughton Band used to seque from The Shadows' Apache into Captain Beefheart's Dropout Boogie didn't they? So this generation's equivalent must presumably involve sampling....

Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Thursday, 16 October 2003 09:18 (twenty-one years ago)
