Does anyone know of a forum for identifying a song title? I have zero lyrics to go on. I work part-time at a retail store and it was on our in-store play this summer and they didn't send us a track listing.

I would describe it as a mellow Basement Jaxx.

Clues:
-it has to be a song released in 2003
-the song begins with the sound of running water, then goes into a thumping guitar
-has a flamenco type beat with indecipherable lyrics by a female (or a guy who sounds like a girl)

Can I be any more non-descript?

Sorry, but it is killing me and I have tried virtually everything to find out the title. Y'all seem so damned musically inclined so hopefully someone knows what the hell I'm blabbering on about.

Thanks in advance!

Part of your description sounds like "Drop" from the Cornelius album "Point." -- I would look into that. Even if it's not what you're talking about, it's a great song.

I think Ben is right. "Drop" starts with the water sound, it's mellow and has the thumping guitar with Cornelius' fey-ish japanese vocals.

It's from his 'Point' album which is white with a blue-dot on the cover.

Oh, also it was the single from that album, so it's much more likely that it would have ended up on an instore sampler CD... and I know Matador does do seasonal samplers.
Good luck!

it does sound very like you might be talking about drop, although that was released last year i think
still,it might have been a single this year...
