Don't want Sport, Some films would be nice,

MTV, MTV2, VH1, other?

I mean, I can live without Puddle of Mud documentaries, Gangsta is on the radio all the time (not knocking it..), what's there that isn't other places?

What's impressed you there recently (past 6 months)? What is soon to come?

(I assume the amon duul 2 film wont be getting a showing there...)

guess not...

but you need Cartoon Network in your life - better still, Adult Swim and CNX

seems like BBC 3 isn't living up to some expectations - they probably have a Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps Please marathon coming up, oh wait that'll be UK Gold (backed up with a showing of 'Lethal Weapon 2' or something)

you'll be needing UK food, discovery home and leisure, the multitudinous music channels playing everything, Sky one for dream team, Discovery Sci-tech is good too

Don't bother - it's all shit. Get a freeview box for BBC4 and UK History, and get films from Blockbuster. Saving £30 a month, I can live without ALL NEW SIMPSONS! and UKGold.

I could live without UK Gold today. however one of my greatest regrets is that I didn't have satellite 10 years ago, back when it was a fascinating archive channel, not another chance to see what you saw a few months ago on BBC1 ...

reasons to get satellite/cable/whatever:

* 35 plus digital radio stations
(consider that DAB radios = 100 quid !)
including bbc radio 6, XFM, bbc 7, galaxy, etc

* granada 118 - shows spitting image at 3 in the morning.
now you *show me* the satirical equivalent of today.
way informative - show the kids this instead of history classes !

* the amp - mtv2 only better and with ace old skool stuff that
isn't what u get on vh-fckng-1

* bbc 4 - chaplin seasons, dvd review show, eddie izzard in 'a day in the death of jo egg' in it's entirety, etc etc

* paramount/paramount 2 - seinfeld, cheers, frasier.
