What are some good names for a record label?

Orgin in Philadelphia,
Similar style to Factory records,
Must sound somewhat professional and not be too goofy so it can fit in with other larger label names.

or just make up whatever names you want.

Goddam Nairn, are you going to give some feedback on the more recent suggestions? We're biting our nails over here.

colin s barrow (colin s barrow), Tuesday, 21 October 2003 01:30 (twenty-two years ago)

oh, yeah. They're all great. It's not my record label. I was just talking to someone who said they were looking for a name, and I was curious and thought maybe I could try and find one too.

I like these:
bloc records
Ceremony
Flight
corridor recordings
object-orient

A Nairn (moretap), Tuesday, 21 October 2003 03:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Go for Object-Orient, I say.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 21 October 2003 03:24 (twenty-two years ago)

And the idea of getting a name that will have goolers (with similar intersts) surf into it is a good idea too. Maybe I'll pass that on to the namers. Like some slightly obscure reference to a band of a similar style with many and enthusiastic fans.

A Nairn (moretap), Tuesday, 21 October 2003 03:25 (twenty-two years ago)

I'd like to point out that two of my suggestions were in that final list.

colin s barrow (colin s barrow), Tuesday, 21 October 2003 05:14 (twenty-two years ago)
