Does this have anything to do with that godawful Europop version of "Summer Nights"?

I saw Gareth do "Grease Is The Word", an inaccurate description as "shit" was quite clearly the word.

What song did Girls Aloud do? I bet it was ace.

Girls aloud did Devoted to you, Hopelessly.

Me kids loved it and have taped it for forever...

i think, on the CD cover, Girls Aloud are credited as involved in some way on track #13

i hadn't realised this is a soundtrack to a TV 'event'

i assume #4 is by "the entire cast of the show" rather than the defunct band, which is a shame since John Power & co. rattling through "You're The One That I Want" might have been the best thing evah

That's a different order to the TV show.

i.e. The Cheeky Girls were not the closing act.

We got a copy of this from the library recently because the kids love the movie so much. Most of it's pleasant enough, I can't decide whether Darius' frat-punk take on "Sandy" is a good thing or an obvious thing, but he performs it nicely. Girls Aloud don't do anything spectacular with their numbers, which is disappointing, but they're okay.

Gareth Gates, on the other hand, is utter shite. He oversings all the way thru "Grease", putting that little Michael Jackson tiger-growl into every bleeding line, to the point where it goes past being meaningless and reaches fucking annoying. And I've always thought Frankie Valli's original is the best song in that movie. This one performance alone makes me rejoice that Gareth's brief career is now drifting away down the sewer that leads to West End musicals and anonymity.
