What about FX? The ones you list just serve to demonstrate how brilliantly paced Black Sabbath albums were - epic der-ner-ner rawk, thirty seconds of acoustic guitar, and back to epic der-ner-ner rawk again. I am serious.

Late one night on public access TV, there was a porn movie with all of the sex edited out, so as to showcase the dialogue, acting, characters, and plot.

I was thinking of making a mix of Sabbath instrumentals, but then I remembered that movie and thought "eh, what's the point? It's already been done."

"Solitude" has vocals, but it should be an honorary member of this category anyway, since it features that soothing "Black Sabbath snacking on turkey legs at ye olde Renaissance Faire" vibe.

nah, too long & repetitive, same as "Laguna Sunrise". But "Hole In the Sky" -> "Don't Start (Too Late)" -> "Symptom of the Universe" is one of the best transitions on record.
