Has anyone else bought this record thinking it was Magazine:

.. I didn't read carefully & just assumed ... But after a few listenings, I kind of like it in a "not really" kind of way. And I can't tell it from an MK Ultra CD, who I also like in a "kinda" way.

I remember seeing the spine of the album in a sale bin and thinking, hello, what's this? Then I picked it up and realised it had nothing to do with Mr Devoto and co., and when I did actually get to hear Jump, Little Children, I thought their music was alright but they just happened to have possibly the most annoying vocalist in the world.

I found him to be annoying in a good way. Almost like he should be fronting a Rick Springfield or Knack cover band.

i remember once wanting that record, the actual record for what it is - god knows what i was thinking. this was in my power pop days.

Wow. Just stumbled randomly onto this site and this thread. They're from my neck of the woods (Charleston, SC). They were THE local band in the mid-90s. I never much cared for them, honestly. But they're really nice guys, and their bass player is in like 100 bands in the area.

But I would rather listen to Magazine.
