Anyone here heard the Pogues' "Falconer" sessions from 1990?

I stumbled on them on Soulseek the other day, and damn, it's fucking good even though it's rough, hissy, and not the best sound quality. The song "NW3", which later turned into Shane MacGowan's not-as-good "Mother Mo Chroi", is brilliant. Stands among the Pogues' best songs. What I'd do for a good copy of that.

Yeah, I have to agree with you on "NW3." in my opinion, it's probably the best pogues song ever recorded, for real-- and that's saying something. it's got all the elements of a classic pogues song and an amazing melody to boot. i love the way shane can write a brilliant lyric that both sentimentalizes and tears apart the "good ol' days" at the same time. great fuckin' song.

I think as time passes, the music of the Pogues keeps becoming more legend for me, and less the product of actual events, like these songs have been around forever. If that makes any sense. Once again, I urge any Pogues fans to search out these demos, they're great!
