What would you do in NY on Halloween?

And while your at it, I'd enjoy any of your suggestions on what I might do (after I "fuck off", "go to Hell", "kill myself", etc... of course)
Remember: I like punk, post-punk, some goth, darkwave, some industrial, traditional blues, free music/improv, occult music and spoken word.
I can't drink or otherwise imbibe (don't ask, it is medical) and I pretty much hate "normal" people.
Thanks much,
I'll be the guy dressed up as a serial killer

I'd stay home and watch a movie.

Clearly, a hip hop show is the thing for you.

Don't try moving house from Canal St to Brooklyn and then bringing records back for a party in the meatpacking district unless you have a lot of Spanish verbs to memorize or something

(I tried to do this last year and it took about 4+ hours; actual time moving boxes = 30 minutes)

I presume this is lingo for soliciting prostitutes for homosexual sex, but if I was in NY on Halloween, I'd shoot someone.

Actually, I suppose that happens anyway in NY.

i'd hang out at a cool bar then go to the flicks, to see something not remotely to do with Halloween probably

I believe the Madagascar Institute, possibly in conjunction with Rubulad, is having a great big party. And their parties are AWESOME.

If you suddenly feel partial to hearing a lot of dancehall and hiphop, you could come along to the splendid Last Exit, on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn...
The parade is actually fun too, I find.

Halloween in NYC has become a bit like New Year's Eve....the idiots are out in force. That said, the parade in the Village can be fun to watch (if you find a good and irritant-free vantage point). Beyond that, you're probably better off watching a flik at home.
