David Ackles - Waiting For the Moving Van

(I wish I had the words to hand, because I'd reduce you all to blubbering tear-sodden wrecks with 'em)

the wedding present - bizarro

"Bizarro" has become my main 'mowing the lawn' soundtrack, it's suitably loud through headphones to drown out the mower, and exactly the right length to get hte front and back garden done.

For me, it's gotta be something that inspires discipline (ooh err!) and stealth. So, like Slayer or Laibach or something.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Saturday, 1 November 2003 08:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Rocket From The Tombs
Captain Beefheart

Currently the best music to do anything at all to is Response by Alexander Kowalski. Kudos to Siegbran.

the misfits. perfect for almost every occasion.

So true!

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Sunday, 2 November 2003 16:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Meat Loaf's Bat Out of Hell, no joke.

Elyn (elynbeth), Sunday, 2 November 2003 16:57 (twenty-two years ago)

actually, i'll change that to "perfect for every occasion" because i just tried to think of a situation in which i wouldn't want to hear the misfits. couldn't come up with anything.

lauren (laurenp), Sunday, 2 November 2003 16:58 (twenty-two years ago)

I had great fun listening to the junior senior album last time I cleaned. The dancier the better. Pet Shop Boys are also a cleaning fave. It used to be old Metallica or Slayer but those for some reason lost their effectiveness.

teeny (teeny), Sunday, 2 November 2003 17:01 (twenty-two years ago)

a situation in which i wouldn't want to hear the misfits.

- While giving birth?
- While trying to sleep?
- Whilst trying to retrieve an errant contact lens from a shag carpet?

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Sunday, 2 November 2003 17:02 (twenty-two years ago)

the misfits would probably get me all pumped to find that contact or deliver that baby. sleep... okay, maybe not.

lauren (laurenp), Sunday, 2 November 2003 17:08 (twenty-two years ago)

I took at my house yesterday with some chemicals & towels & a vacuum and a five-disc changer loaded with Talking Heads, Devo, and Gang of Four. My house is CLEAN.
