This (http://blogcritics.org/archives/2003/11/01/002226.php)is the most recent mention of it I've seen but they seem sort of wishy-washy about this issue in general. Anyone with insight?

I don't see any mention of it on that page, nor on the Beulah website. Where are you reading this?

pitchforkmedia has a little news brief saying that Yoko would be their last album a couple months back. . . unless they really got popular from Yoko's stuff.

that's what i'd heard too. They had some silly number (100,000, iirc) chosen, and if they hit it in album sales they'd stay together. Barring sudden stardom, this tour would be it. Somehow I doubt they're going to break up, though...

they wanted the album to go gold. so however many copies that is.

500,000. they really should break up as they are dreadful.

they're one of the pop bands it is ok for indie rawk guys to like. not so tuneful so as to be able to pass for twee.

I only know the song that namedropped '69 love songs'. 'Popular Mechanics for Lovers', I think it was. It was good enough, nice chorus, but not exciting enough for me to check out an album.

Well, it was mentioned to me in an interview when "The Coast..." came out, that their next (what is Yoko) would be last (if that makes sense). They mentioned it a few times on their website, including their "last" tour...I have a good feeling they'll break up, which kills me btw because they're one of my favorites. They love it, but I think they're a little tired of "Being in a band."

i know very little about this band but the current SF weekly says they are on tour and they had a big article on them.
