this is....a bit lame. can't believe someone else has heard it tho. 40p...not well spent. a 7" that languishes in a dusty corner of my room....

Starturn on 45 (Pints) did an earlier record, didn't they? I can't remember what it was called, but it was soon after Stars on 45 by Starsound, hence the name of the band, whereas "Pump up the Bitter" was about six years later.

Starturn on 45 (Pints) *must* have been mates with The Firm, if they weren't actually the same ppl.

All I know about the Firm is that one of 'em used to be in a somewhat sub-legendary 70s folk band called Pyewackett.
