I'm being serious.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Saturday, 15 November 2003 13:46 (twenty-one years ago)

oh, i'm for george all the way, but i know you better than that.

fiddo centington (dubplatestyle), Saturday, 15 November 2003 13:53 (twenty-one years ago)

or is this some leftover roses vs. mondays antipathy i dont know about being from america where it's all "english homo music"

fiddo centington (dubplatestyle), Saturday, 15 November 2003 13:53 (twenty-one years ago)

ehehehehehehe... Jess, buddy, don't try and second-guess me because I'm really not that clever. I downloaded "Freedom 90" last night and I was listening to it this morning and it struck me that I much prefer it to "Step On" and that I was never much of a Mondays fan anyway, and that my 15-year-old self would probably have been superficially disgusted but actually agree.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Saturday, 15 November 2003 13:56 (twenty-one years ago)

yeah, "freedom 90" is a great track. george michael is kind of underrated isn't he?

fiddo centington (dubplatestyle), Saturday, 15 November 2003 14:00 (twenty-one years ago)

he gets lumped in with, like, ric astley and late phil collins but that seems hardly fair.

fiddo centington (dubplatestyle), Saturday, 15 November 2003 14:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Stop it Jess.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Saturday, 15 November 2003 14:04 (twenty-one years ago)

fiddo centington (dubplatestyle), Saturday, 15 November 2003 14:05 (twenty-one years ago)

george michael was one of the first ever pop stars i responded to sexually.

fiddo centington (dubplatestyle), Saturday, 15 November 2003 14:06 (twenty-one years ago)

What did he ask you to do?!

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Saturday, 15 November 2003 14:09 (twenty-one years ago)

"Too Funky" is better than either.

Eric H. (Eric H.), Saturday, 15 November 2003 15:43 (twenty-one years ago)

I always liked how "Praying For Time" was (musically) his Cocteau Twins move. If you squint.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 15 November 2003 16:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Is "Freedom 90" the one where, at the end, he goes into the "You can't always get what you want" thing? I always liked that one.

andrew m. (andrewmorgan), Saturday, 15 November 2003 16:31 (twenty-one years ago)

I COULD NEVER CHOOSE.

I love both so much.

Maybe George though.

anyway "step on" isn't even the best mondays track but i find it hard to imagine any mondays track standing up next to "freedom 90"
