ahh it was killer. plaid were leagues ahead of their previous lackluster appearance at bimbo's with prefuse & weatherall...first couple tracks seemed to be either new improvisations or improvised versions of existing tracks, which was fantastic. later in their set it got a little stagnant, with album tracks being played nearly note-for-note. still, the visuals were absolutely awesome and the majority of the music was intense and moving. vibert was wicked as well -- i couldn't tell if he was using something like Live or even just a sequencer or if he was mixing tracks using traktor, but his set, which was heavy on the acid breaks, was far more stoney and tricky rhythmically than his latest album. solid show, sorry you missed it...
