shit that's only 9, how about the new dead c?

Eureka didn't have any laptop stuff on it! The other Mego record does though (123 or whatever it was called).

Yeah, I was gonna say. Better yet — what's the greatest laptop POP record out there? Like, not just beats and shit...

Naive Teen Idol (Naive Teen Idol), Monday, 24 November 2003 20:58 (twenty-two years ago)

you guys need to listen to "Eureka" off Eureka again and then come back here and give me a big sweet apology followed by a meaningful bearhug.

gygax! (gygax!), Monday, 24 November 2003 20:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Sure, sure. How about Yoshimi? Does that count as laptoppy? It was totally done on computers first and then overdubbed w/ live instruments...

"chemicals" by the Notwist turns my number lock on every time.

Felcher (Felcher), Monday, 24 November 2003 21:27 (twenty-two years ago)

mayyyyybe. I'll relisten to that song. But I was thinking of I'm Happy and I'm Singing and a 123....which is pretty good as far as pure laptop noise goes.

Ok, gygax!, you're right about "Eureka." Not a bad tune, actually...

And Felcher's right about the Notwist — good stuff.

I gotta say that "Endless Summer" doesn't do a lot for me. I wish it had a little bit more propulsion. It just kinda lays there.

2003 has Manitoba and Four Tet with two solid laptop albums.

Plus anything coming out of Cologne should count. I just got one of those Pop Ambient collections from Kompakt and I think it's just aces.

oh wait. we're talking about songs not albums.

My fault.

Manitoba - "Jacknutted" is a good song.
