Eightball Records Closes without Explanation!

Primarily a deep house/techno sorta joint here in NYC (just down my street, actually), it mysteriously shut its doors for good this week. Whyzat?

i liked how they used to put "free records" out front. used to grab some when i lived on 9th btw 2nd & 3rd.

Coming from Jersey EightBall Records was my favorite deep-house underground record source. I them all(record shops) from Jersey to NYC and Eightball was the BEST......Eightball Records you will be missed and that is coming from a Deephouse DJ who been in the game since 1981 repin Newark NJ and legendary DJ Tee Scott and Chi-Town Ron Hardy....Peace n Luv: DJ Deephouse

I had been wondering about Eightball myself, since I pass by the way all the time en route to Mondo Kim's. I've only been there a couple times and never found anything I was ever looking for, namely any random jungle or garage things that caught my fancy.
