Eightball Records Closes without Explanation!

Primarily a deep house/techno sorta joint here in NYC (just down my street, actually), it mysteriously shut its doors for good this week. Whyzat?

i liked how they used to put "free records" out front. used to grab some when i lived on 9th btw 2nd & 3rd.

I had been wondering about Eightball myself, since I pass by the way all the time en route to Mondo Kim's. I've only been there a couple times and never found anything I was ever looking for, namely any random jungle or garage things that caught my fancy.
