KRAFTWERK UK & EIRE DATES & NEW SINGLE MARCH 2004

Following their stunning live British TV performance at this year's MTV
EMAs, EMI Records are thrilled to announce that Kraftwerk will perform
live at five shows in the UK & Eire next March. These shows will be the
first here since 1997's Tribal Gathering and Kraftwerk's first tour
since 1991.

Their visit will coincide with a new single Aero Dynamik which is
released by EMI Records on March 15th. Aero Dynamik will be a different
version than the one that appears on Kraftwerk's latest album Tour de
France Soundtracks and will be accompanied by a selection of remixes.

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 25 November 2003 16:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes, but weren't they boring on the MTV awards?
Having said that, I bought tickets for both London shows first thing this morning.

Does anyone remember the rumours a few years back that Ralf & Florian were going to play a set at the RFH consisting entirely of numbers from their first three LPs? It never happened (!!), but I have a press release from around that time stating (well, actually denying) as much.

harveyw (harveyw), Tuesday, 25 November 2003 16:07 (twenty-one years ago)

Typical, Wales gets ignored again. At least the Scots get one gig.

Pah!

Rob M (Rob M), Tuesday, 25 November 2003 16:08 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes, but weren't they boring on the MTV awards?

to look at yes but i liked the track and enjoyed the relative novelty of seeing them perform on MTV (or TV at all) a lot.

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 25 November 2003 16:33 (twenty-one years ago)

mine arrived today. i have two. TWO. i will be selling one of these soon (unless i can find a hot enough date, ha).

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 13 January 2004 14:11 (twenty-one years ago)

U-no I though the MTV awards was the first time they've played in Scotland, but it turns out this isn't even the first time they've played in Glasgow!!! (They were twice at the old Apollo- which the current Academy is trying to emulate- and at the Barrowlands in 1992!!!)

Still, the Glasgow concert's sold out yonks ago (I was quick off the mark, and got my tickets off tha NetWeb on the day of the announcement!!!!) and will no doubt be packed to the rafters with all the usual Glasgow DJs and dance music combos...

BTW Does anyone know if they still start concerts off with "Numbers"?!?!?!?

Old Fart!!! (oldfart_sd), Tuesday, 13 January 2004 17:03 (twenty-one years ago)

'Numbers/Computer World' appeared to become an encore track. they actually opened with 'The Robots' on the Paris show from last Summer that i downloaded recently.

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 13 January 2004 17:10 (twenty-one years ago)

Steve I may well be interested in one of your tickets hem hem (unless you have a hot date of course)! Although I am broke so couldn't get dosh to you for a while so if you have better offers ect ect.

Wayahead is showing a late doors gig at Brixton as well as the er, matinee performance, wossat all abaat?

Sarah (starry), Tuesday, 13 January 2004 17:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Andrew L (Andrew L), Tuesday, 13 January 2004 19:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Seats!?!?! Pah!!!! We don't need no seats up in Glasgow!!!!!!!

Next you'll be wanting a programme and opera glasses!!!!!!

Old Fart!!! (oldfart_sd), Wednesday, 14 January 2004 16:33 (twenty-one years ago)

i'm surprised Kraftwerk don't sit down themselves, in dentist style chairs perhaps

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 14 January 2004 16:34 (twenty-one years ago)
