Wondering if it's worth subscribing to this service, i'm kinda thinking it is (if anything for some half-decent writings/interviews 'bout Curtis Mayfield) Any particular articles i should make a point of looking up if i do??

I subscribed for 2 or 3 months, got excited when I saw all the drop down menus of stuff, saw what I felt I needed to see (though they add new stuff every week), then decided it wasn't ultimately worth it for me and cancelled. I may sign up short-term again at some point. There's a vast collection of reprints, it's all really great at first, and as I'd never really seen much British writing at all from the '70s, it was fairly informative. (Has good Roxy/Eno/Bowie interviews, things like that.) I just wish they'd start reprinting stuff from old *Smash Hits*! And maybe more features and reviews of disco.

I think it's reasonable for them to charge what they do. What is it, $4 U.S.? a month? From what I understand, they do pay people to reprint their stuff; they couldn't provide what they provide without charging for it.

best tact -> write for them, and then you get a free subscription!

Anyone a subscriber?

Database is fairly impressive. Tempting, but not in my budget.
