This one could be easy for you guys, but I'm looking for the name of the song during the title intro of 'The Lick', specifically when the '5 years' tag comes up. It's hard to describe it, but it's a really smooth piece with slow bass pulses and a single guitar-like string being plucked along with it. Sounds totally bitchen' really. Name and artist would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. (and sorry if it's really obvious, which it could be since i'm not a connoisseur ..)

i'd be surprised if it wasn't just something composed purely for the show and not actually a proper track. i haven't seen The Lick for a while tho (but i remember the '5 years' thing from before) so maybe it's changed recently? it sounds quite early 80s ala Loose Ends tho.

Really? Damn. I was thinking that it was something by Dre or DJ Quik maybe. It has gotta be an accomplished producer though, because it sounds completely awesome.

we are talking about different pieces of music clearly so i guess the intro music has recently changed.

I think they started using this one 5 or 6 months ago. It's makes for great intro music, right up there with TRL using "Nothin'" (by Nore).
