über-hetero American rock gods vs. über-homo British new romantic gods. one would never admit their indebtedness to Msr. Bowie in a million years, while the other was an "ashes to ashes" walk-on.

I'm curious as to what Kiss would have to say about Bowie....if anything. Knowing them, it'd probably be some backhanded compliment that was entirely self-serving and ham-fistedly dismissive.

gene simmons is enough of a capitalist pig/shameless huckster ... er, "businessman" ... to appreciate mr. bowie's business acumen. he's probably pissed that he didn't think up the idea of "bowie bonds" himself!
