It's not a Mac/Safari thing if you mean posting here, it's an HTML format issue. Go here for a guide (and no, I am not related to the author of the article). The emphasis section will help you here.

Oh, I see by the ol' html guide that < blink > is no longer supported by most browsers. This is a good thing.

Painfully, yes.

I wonder how cheesy the current internet will look to us in five years. Like, we'll be all, "Sheesh! They're still using flash!"

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Sunday, 30 November 2003 21:33 (twenty-one years ago)

haha probably. I'm just happy that nobody seems to use frames anymore. uuugghh I hated those.

Elliot (Elliot), Sunday, 30 November 2003 21:50 (twenty-one years ago)

when I read most stuff I'm like "sheesh dude they're still using WRITING derr"

Now, a Safari question - how can I click the Submit button w/o using my mouse? (Just got my first Mac on Wednesday, so still figuring this and many other things out, though I think I have caught onto many shortcuts much faster than I ever did on my PC.)

If you are using a recent version of OS X, the Keyboard preference pane has a checkbox somewhere for enabling 'full keyboard access' or something. It will allow you to set some keyboard shortcuts for cycling through buttons inside a window, as well as things like the menu bar.

Um...I have that enabled, but I don't know what to be looking for now. Help!? (Thanks for the tip, btw.)

Flash isn't going away, Adobe are lobbing it into the PDF format since they bought Macromedia as far as I know. It's painful not being able to link into a site cause it's in flash, but Youtube is nothing without flash so I guess we notice the downside a lot and take the upsides for granted. Overall, it's not so bad. But i really don't want to deal with whatever monster pdf format bastardisation adobe are coming up with, if that is what they are doing.

ILM is so wonderfully oldskool, just great (aside from the search)

why must you ruin mah day!

trees (treesessplode), Tuesday, 18 July 2006 21:30 (nineteen years ago)

yeah there's a adobe V microsoft battle looming with new PDF up against the vista XPS format.

Flash sites are a bitch (esp. for blind people) but I figure in a few years there'll be sites basing themselves around the pdf format with flash and everything built in, really multimedia rich sites. web 3.0 here we come.

never mind figuring emphasing things

Major Alfonso (Major Alfonso), Tuesday, 18 July 2006 22:01 (nineteen years ago)

Web -3.0 more like.
